What is is?

Wordle is a site where you can create a word cloud from any text.  That means it creates an image of all the words in the text, with repeated words appearing larger than others.

Tag Crowd is similar to wordle but it does not provide options such as different font styles and colours

What can I use it for?

Use it with students to identify key words in speeches and publications

Add different definitions of the same word to find common themes.

Add an exemplar essay to see what the key themes are

Create a text based logo

Create a wordcloud based on a Wikipedia article and get students to guess what it’s about.

Bitstips is a website where you can create cartoon strips by dragging and dropping components such as characters, props and background scenes, into a series of blank panels.
