As an elearning adviser for the JISC RSC Northwest, this week I have been getting my self up to speed with moodle by developing an online introductory course about all things Web 2.0. After a few trials I decieded to use eXe to produce the materials. I found it really easy to use, however I found it better to initially write it out in word before copying it into exe, I can’t do anything without words spell check. (as you may have noticed reading this) Writing this course gave me the excuse to research the use of blogs, photo and video sharing websites, wikis and social network websites and how they are used in education. This is what led me to elgg. Although there is more i want to add, the course now has enough content to go live and is avalable on our moodle site here listed under ‘training and development’. you can go in as guest.
